IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edd Lee
Fleming
April 2, 1946 – May 15, 2024
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Edd Lee Fleming aka Flemmings, who passed away at the age of 78. Edd was born on April 2, 1946, in Red River County, Texas. He was the oldest of eleven children born to his hardworking parents, Jimmie and Clara Flemmings.
Edd was well known in Denison for his delicious barbeque restaurant, where he worked alongside his mother for over 10 years. He was a man of many talents and always had a solution to any problem, thanks to his vast network of connections. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors, ensuring that they were never taken advantage of.
On May 2, 2021, Edd accepted his calling to be ordained as a Deacon and served faithfully at his church, the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Denison. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He left to cherish his memory his four children: Greg (Edd, Jr.) Posey, Alvin (Jerome) Posey, Gladys Fleming, and stepson Richard Fleming; Mother, Clara Mae Flemmings; two sisters: Wanda McDaniel and Darlene Hewitt (Nate); three brothers: Archie Flemmings (Laura), Billy Flemmings (Ivory), and Marcus Flemmings; and dear friend, Debra Dehorney. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Edd is preceded in death by his grandparents, father, Jimmie L. Flemmings; brothers: James A. Flemmings, Kelvin Flemmings, and Joe Fleming; and sisters: Delphine Flemmings Patterson and Gladys Flemmings-Smith.
There were many lives you touched and they too cared. You are following
the path God laid for you; do not look back at all. We will see you once
again; when we too hear, God's call. No goodbyes. Until we meet each
other again. We love you forever and a day.
Your, family.
