Edward ws born on August 18, 1937, in Breckenridge, Texas. He was born to the late Samuel Thomas Bingham and Martha Addie (Sturges) Bingham. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings - three brothers George, Buster and Wingo and three sisters Mary, Mandy and Ellen.

When dementia set in, Edward mostly spoke of his youthful adventures and growing up poor but what a good life he had.
Edward served in the United States Navy for four years as an aviation structural mechanic. During this time while at home on leave he met and married the true love of his life Bessie Lou (Brown) Bingham. They have celebrated 59 years of marriage. Edward was always a loving and devoted husband and father. Edward and Bessie enjoyed many years together celebrating big family gatherings and lifelong friendships with the members of their square dance club, Lakeside Dudes and Dolls.
Survivors include his son, Eddie Bingham and wife Karen; daughter, Cassa Bingham Melson and husband Jack Melson; grandchildren, Grant Bingham and wife Brook, Erin Pruitt and fiancée Nick Coulter; and great grandchildren, Julie and Justin Bingham.
There will not be a funeral service at this time due to family illness. A memorial will be held at a later date.
Edward was a member of Hagerman Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Pastor Neal Alexander and church members for the uplifting prayers, cards and many visits.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hagerman Baptist Church V.B.S. fund.
