Elam LaVern Miller, age 66 of Sherman, TX died Friday, December 22, 2023, in Sherman.

Elam was born to Fannie Matilda (Yoder) Miller and John H. Miller in Mt. Eaton, Ohio on January 30, 1957.  He married Diana Flores Miller Castro on September 19, 1992, in Sherman.

He was a self-employed roofer by trade and enjoyed reading and astronomy.  He was a hardworking, respected, and loving father and husband. He loved his children and grandchildren.  He will be missed by all those he left behind.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Matilda, niece Valeri Amos and nephew Jason M. Miller.

Elam is survived by his wife of 31 years, Diana Miller; his children Amy Henry and husband Donnie, Sarah Wilson and husband Darin, Christina, Elam Jr., Matilda Brown and husband Jordan, John  and wife Kayla, Diana, Jason and wife Jennifer, Jacob and wife Jada, Gabriel; grandchildren Abigail, Attila, Meadoua (Mimi) Achilleus, Akasha, Amadeus, Evlynn, Imogen, Isaiah, Andreas, Carmella, Xaniya, James, Coraline, Adrianna, John Jr., Isabella, Alessandra, and Natalia; sisters Ruth Meine and husband Michael, Sarah Friend, Lucinda Gaut and husband Donnie; brothers Abraham and wife Donna, Devon, Keith and wife Roxanne and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 28th at Waldo Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Raymond England officiating.  Pallbearers will be Elam Miller, John Miller, Jason Miller, Jacob Miller, Gabriel Miller, Jordan Brown, Isaiah Stevenson and Andreas Stevenson.  Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
