Obituary

Elizabeth Bellington Wilson, 63, passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Saturday, April 12th, 2025. A daughter of the Southern Baptist missionaries, Liz was born in Manaus, Amazonas on November 11, 1961, and later moved to the States at the age of fifteen in 1977. During her time in Brazil she innocently met her future love-of-her-life Dan, who was also a Missionary Kid (MK).

A passionate force in this world, Liz graduated from high school and began raising and teaching a growing family of five children. It was during this time that she met her best friend, Pam Foster, whereupon the two embarked on a lifetime of mischief and laughter together. Most impressively, while her children were still attending school, she herself returned to school at the University of North Texas where she received a Bachelor's of Science degree and Masters of Psychology. She also worked as a substitute teacher during this time, and later as a full-time Geography teacher at Haltom Middle School in Haltom City, TX. Eventually she joined her beloved team at Reno Elementary School in Azle, TX as the school Counselor, a position she proudly held up to her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Paul Bellington, Sr. and Doris Jean Bellington, and her older sister, Paula Jean. She is survived by her loving husband (Mark) Dan; her five children, Benjamin, Amanda and her husband Travis, Joshua, Andrew, and Gabriel and his wife Lara; 7 step-children; 8 grandchildren, her brothers; Robert Paul, Jr. and his wife Joy, John Mark and his wife Linda, and Timothy and his wife Michelle; and a host of nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren that were touched by Liz's life well-lived.

A memorial will be hosted at Glenview Baptist Church in Haltom City on Saturday, May 3rd from 1:00-2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a donation be made to help fund a gardener. In addition to her love of quilting for everyone around her, Liz also devoted a fair amount of time and love to her garden. Our goal from this is to keep her memory alive in the plants that adorn her yard, so that Dan can join her outside in the garden, in moments of quiet, without the burden of upkeep.

Donations can be made through Venmo (@joshthenrogers) or Zelle ( 8179992863 ).
