Ernestine T. White, 98 years old, Sherman, Tx resident, passed away peacefully Friday, July 21st , 2023, at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Ernestine was born October 30th, 1924 in Whitewright, Texas. She was a daughter of Ewing Edward and Mary (Tolleson) Tomlinson. She was a graduate of Whitewright High School and Sherman Business College.

On December 12th, 1948, Ernestine married William Keller White Jr. in Sherman. They were married for 54 years until his death May 6th, 2003. They had 3 children.

She worked as a Transportation agent for 28 years at Perrin Air Force Base, Altus Air Force Base and in Dallas, Tx.

Ernestine was a longtime member of Wood St. Church of Christ in Sherman.

Her favorite activities were reading, genealogy and family history, and traveling with her husband.

Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband, William Keller White Jr., mother, Mary T. Tomlinson, father, Ewing Edward Tomlinson, brother, Cyrus Spellman Tomlinson (he died of the 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic), brother, Jesse Truman Tomlinson, brother, William Dean Tomlinson, and a sister, Betty Lou (Tomlinson) Green.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lu Aycock and husband, Ron of Sherman, son, Bill White of Sherman, daughter, Kim Smith and husband, Kevin of Sherman.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ronnie Aycock Jr, Elizabeth Aycock Joines and her husband, Brandon, Cody Reynolds and his wife, Claire, all of Sherman, Justin Reynolds of Westminster, Co, Kacie Smith of Austin, Gerald Smith of Sherman, Rebecca White Ash and husband Ryan of McKinney, Andrew White of Sherman; great grandchildren, Finley Keller Joines, Stella Frost Joines, Paisley Claire Ash and Wyatt Lawton Ash.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Waldo Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 26 in the Chapel of Waldo Funeral Home. Ken Mullins will officiate.

Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ronnie Aycock, Andrew White, Cody Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Ryan Ash and Brandon Joines.

The family would like to extend thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Sherri Gaunder Hebert, Beddie Maxwell and Christie Easley. A special thanks to Kathy Meador, who provided many great meals over the years for Ernestine and to Janenne Pendleton for her continued love and support.
