Estelene Larson, of Sherman, TX, died Monday, November 24, 2025, at her residence in Sherman. She was 87 years old.

Estelene was born October 20, 1938, in Waldron, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Kile and Ola Mae (House) Maxell. She attended Waldron High School from 1952 through 1956, and Paola High School, in Kansas, from 1956 until her graduation in 1957.

She worked for Transco/Williams Co. in Houston as Senior Executive Secretary from 1987 to 2002.

Estelene married Jack Purdy on May 15, 2018, in Branson, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kile and Ola Mae Maxell, and her siblings, Mary Ellen Pilcher, R. C. Maxell, Buddy Maxell, M.A. McGee, and Jimmy Lee Maxell.

Estelene is survived by her husband, Jack Purdy of Sherman, TX, stepson, Joshua Purdy of Corpus Christi, TX, stepdaughter, Misty deMelo of Carollton, Tx, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

An inurnment service will be held on a date to be determined.
