Faye Oliver

Sherman- Funeral services for Edna Faye Oliver will be held at 10:00 am Saturday January 6 at North Park Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Jason Oliver, Jeff Oliver, Chris Oliver, Jordan Oliver, Ben Clardy, and Jacob Williams serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Ben Crouse, Dalton Oliver, and Chris Swindell. Mrs. Oliver, 93, passed away Tuesday January 2 at Nanaw's Place in Denison.

Faye was born April 9, 1930, in Whiteflat, Texas to the late William and Cora (Massey) Harendt.  She married Benny Oliver in 1950.  Faye owned the Pampered Poodle Salon and the Diet Center, and later worked as a caregiver for children in her home.  In retirement, she enjoyed traveling.  Mrs. Oliver was an active member of Trinity Baptist and North Park Baptist.  She taught Sunday School for over 50 years and later helped with the church shut ins.

Faye will be remembered as a loving mother. She is survived by five children, Dr. Larry Oliver and wife Judy of Midland, Marshall Oliver and wife Holly of Tyler, Brenda Clardy and husband Joe of Haslet, LaVonda Brown and husband Jon of Sherman, and Steven Oliver and wife Beth of Sherman; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer Odom, Chris Oliver, Jordan Oliver, Bailey Burke, Jason Oliver, Jeff Oliver, Ben Clardy, Sarah Crouse, Amy Swindell, Heather Flanery, Dalton Oliver, Delainey Oliver, and Stacie Williams; and 28 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, eleven siblings, and her husband Benny.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Waldo Funeral Home.  Memorials can be made to North Park Baptist Church.  The register book may be signed at waldofuneralhome.com.
