The gates of Heaven were opened wide October 6, 2023, for our wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and friend Frances Gale Allen. She was born on January 3, 1938, to Johnny (papaw) and Shirley Caraway (mamaw). She married Tommy L. Allen on March 3, 1952. She was a devoted mother to James, Eddie and Herman Allen. Then along came Tommy Gene, Kathy, Jamie, and Teresa. She belonged to the Church of the Nazarene for many years. A Christian woman that walked her walk with the Lord, praying and guiding her family all the way along.

She was mainly a homemaker, but she dabbled in several adventures such as selling Avon, becoming an oil paint artist (she was artist of the month displayed at Security Bank), she had a small bakery in Whitesboro for a while, and she helped with Jamie's Grill in Denison. Frances was a babysitter and lastly a hairstylist at Phase 1 hair design (after telling Teresa how to do hair, Teresa said when you get a license, then you can tell me how. She signed up at Grayson College the next week. One year later she was employed as a stylist).Frances also worked for the Whitesboro ISD in the Cafeteria. Most of her life, she was our loving mom, grandmother, matriarch, friend, leader, and prayer warrior. Confident in her faith, we are sure she is in God's arms today. Til we see you again, God Bless.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, parents, Johnny and Shirley Caraway, sons, Tommy Gene, Eddie, and Herman, grandson, Anthony (bub) Pruett, Chris Lindsay, siblings, Sis Alred, Pat Bryant, and Bud Caraway. She is survived by her daughters Kathy Lindsay (Ed) of Whitesboro, Jamie Pruett (Maverick) of Whitesboro, Teresa Allen of Sherman, and James Allen (Becky) of Muncie, Indiana. Grandkids Michael Allen, James Robert Allen (Lindsay), Misty Hall (Joe), Sunshine Maffi (John), Jennifer Custer (Jon), Brian Allen (Stormy), Daniel Pruett, Jessica Pruett (Michelle), Dennis Allen (Ann), Angie Taylor (Jake), Kristen Shields, Roberta Allen Brown (David), and Jeanna Campbell. Great Grandkids, Ethan, Bradley, Parker, Jonathan, James, Annabelle, Thomas, Aeidyn, Troy, Ali, Wyatt, Lisa Murray, Lexi Murray, Jordan, Brookelyn, Devlyn, Hunter, Jake, Donovan , Breeze, Jackson, Ellyanna, Paige, Alyssa, Logan, Aaron and Tyler. Great Great Grandkids, Braxton, Brayden and Cannon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, TX. Burial will follow at the Dixie Cemetery north of Whitesboro, TX. Pallbearers will be Michael Allen, Daniel Pruett, James Robert Allen, Brian Allen, Jordan Hall and Hunter Hall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aeidyn Pruett, Chris Rich, Jon Custer, Devlyn Hall and James Allen.

The family will be gathering on Tuesday, October 10th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trinity Lighthouse Church in the dining area. Friends and family are welcome to come and even welcome to bring a favorite dish to share.
