Gary Gordon Gililland, 93, of Sherman, TX, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Funeral services for Gary will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Grace United Methodist Church in Sherman.

Gary was born in Abilene, TX on June 23, 1933 to Grace (Hembree) & Truman Gililland. He grew up in Rotan, TX, graduated from Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX, and settled in Midland, TX where he and Gail lived for 66 years. Gary & Gail (his first wife) recently resettled in Sherman, TX, and celebrated their 70th Anniversary this past August.

There is already a Gary/Dad/Poppy-sized hole in our lives, but we are confident we will see him again as he welcomes each of us to Heaven with open arms.

Gary is survived by his wife, Gail Marie Jones Gililland. Children: Gina McCasland (Ross), Gerri Ann Bandemir (Scott) and Grady Gililland (Rick Martin). Grandchildren: Claire McCasland Manley (Dylan), Heath McCasland (Olivia) and Samantha Bandemir Beason (Joey). And four great grandchildren. Gary is preceded in death by his grandson Craig McCasland in 2013.
