Obituary

Gary F. Paddock was born on January 6th, 1950, in Fort Worth, TX and went home to be with the Lord on January 28th, 2025.

Gary was born to his parents Tommie and Lucille Paddock. He graduated from Azle High School in 1968. Gary married Donna Shaw on April 6th, 1974. They have one son, Shane Paddock; one granddaughter, Kara Paddock; and nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lucille and Tommie; his brothers, Tommie and Barry; and his sister, Sandra.

He earned an associates degree from Tarrant County Community College and a bachelor's degree in education from Southeastern State University. He served his country in the Army Reserves and National Guard. Gary joined the Texas Department of Public Safety in 1971 as a patrol officer and retired in 2002 as a Sergeant in Driver License. He was also a bailiff for the Grayson County District Judge for 10 years.

Gary enjoyed riding horses and leatherwork, which he was very skilled in. He also competed in weightlifting competitions.

Gary will be missed by his loved ones but is now at peace and living more beautifully in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Thank you, Jesus, for the blessing Gary was and for the promise that we one day will be made whole again through and with you.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 31st at Waldo Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Hall Cemetery in Howe.
