Obituary

George Browder Everett was born November 3, 1936, in Beaumont, Texas, to Margie (Green) Everett and Francis Vernon Everett.  He graduated high school in Palestine, TX.  He then moved to Gladewater, TX and attended one year at Kilgore Junior College, and graduated from University of Houston Pharmacy School.  He married Rosie Sarah Butler in Gladewater, TX, on June 15, 1957.  He served in the Air Force in Texas and spent nine years in the Air Force reserves.  He retired with the rank of captain (Pharmacy Officer).

After his military service he and Rosie moved to Sherman, TX in January of 1961 to work at McKenster Rexall Pharmacy and then to May Pharmacy for twenty years.  He retired from Wilson N. Jones Hospital Pharmacy after 30 years.  Once retired, he worked part-time at The Medicine Shoppe in Sherman, TX.

He was a member of First Baptist Church Sherman since 1961 and served there as a deacon.  He was a member of Optimist Club, the SFOA for 15 years and Grayson Cooke Collin County Pharmacy Association.

George was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Adair and Vernon Franklin Everett.

He is survived by his wife Rosie, daughters Sandy Garbacik and husband Kevin and their daughters Sarah Joann Garbacik and Angela Carol (Everett) Bennett and husband Richard A. Bennett; grandchildren Aaron and wife Rachel and Adam Bennett and four great grandchildren.
