Gladys Lucille McShan was born to Helen Louise Polk-McShan and John McShan on September 12, 1944, in Clarksville Texas, she departed this life on November 24, 2024, in Sherman, Texas, surrounded by family.

Lucille moved to Denison early in life where she resided until her transition. Lucille was a faithful lifelong member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served in many different roles on several committees throughout the years. Lucille was a proud graduate of the Terrell High School Fighting Dragons, Class of 1963. She partook in many leadership roles such as a cheerleader; band drum major; Dean Club President; and majorette.

She was a loyal employee at Texas Instruments where she retired after 30 years. Following her retirement, she dedicated and volunteered her time to aid in the betterment of the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Johnny McShan and her sister Cynthia McShan. She was also preceded in death by her son Vincent Moore Sr.

Lucille is survived by her daughter Tasha Moore-Mitchell (Joey) and her son Stacey Moore (Deanna); her siblings Curlee Mcshan, Effie Bowden, and Keith McShan; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many more loving nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.

A public visitation will be Friday, November 29th from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

The funeral service will be Saturday, November 30th at 12 noon at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1131 S. Scullin Ave. Denison.  Rev. Alton Blakely will be officiating.

Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Denison on Monday, December 2nd at 11 A.M. due to the cemetery closing for the holiday.
