Glenda Rushing, age 79, of Sherman passed away Monday, September 11, 2023.

She was born in Altus, Arkansas to Russell and Dorothy Smith.  She married Barry Rushing in February 1968.  Both graduated from Abilene Christian University, Glenda with a degree in Art Education.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Grayson Keith McCall.

She is survived by her husband and a sister, Joan Lazzell, of Arizona; a brother, Russell Smith, of Oregon; a daughter, Paige McCall and her husband, Brent McCall, of Denison and daughter Brooke Cook and her husband Billy Cook of Gunter.

Additionally, she is survived by three grandchildren, Brayden McCall, Tanner McCall, and Brooklyn McCall.

Glenda taught art classes at Abilene Wylie High School for ten years.  She was a member of the Western Heights church of Christ in Sherman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Eastern European Missions at eem.org or PO Box 55245, Hurst, Texas, 76054.  (Sending Bibles to the masses.)
