Glenn Alexander "Alex" Jones, 55, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2026. He was born on June 9, 1971, in Houston, Texas, to Windell and Frances Jones.

For more than 20 years, Alex worked in the HVAC field, work he took great pride in. As HVAC manager for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, he kept people comfortable and safe, often without anyone noticing, because when the work is done right, nobody has to think about it. His colleagues trusted him completely to keep it that way.

Alex had a big heart for animals, especially his beloved puppies, Odin, Kuaui, and Freddie. He loved nature and travel, and he was known for his humor and an uncanny ability to solve any problem. Above all, Alex was devoted to his family. He was an exceptional husband and father that brought joy to his family, friends, and community.

Alex was preceded in death by his father, Windell Jones. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Jones; his daughters, Racheal Jones, Kimberly Jones, and Beth Fortner; his mother, Frances Jones; his siblings, Ben Jones, Greg and Colleen Jones, and Janelle and Rob Endres; and his nieces and nephews, Shore Romani; CJ, Ellie, and Maisy Jones; Christian and Alex Endres; and Katrina Endres. He also leaves behind his faithful companions, Odin, Kuaui, and Freddie.

The family will host a brief visitation to celebrate Alex's life on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel, 619 N. Travis Street, Sherman, TX 75090, 903-893-1101.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Denison Animal Welfare Group, 3307 S. Eisenhower Pkwy., Denison, TX 75020, or Bluebonnet Animal Rescue Network, P.O. Box 964, Whitewright, TX 75491, in honor of his love for animals.
