On February 21, 2023, at the age of 77 yrs. old , God called home Gloria Dean Rucker Waddles. She was born on June 7, 1945 to Calvin Rucker and Minnie May Douglas in Denison, Texas. Dean was deeply loved by her family.

Dean graduated from Terrell High School. She was a proud Terrell Dragon.

Dean had the loves of her life here two sons Joe and Calvin on the same day July 14 ^th a year apart. Dean enjoyed joking, making you laugh and calling her favorite cousin Rucker on the phone to tell him to come on by the house. Her favorite food was eating a hamburger, and drinking a soda pop! Dean had an unconditional love for her family, and never forgot a birthday. She enjoyed doing large puzzles and reminiscing about old times, making family memories was her special thing to do.

Grandchildren - Felecia Wilson, Erica Waddles, Anthony Waddles and Calvin Waddles Jr. Great-grandchildren Alaizha Waddles, Amarion Mathis, Jalerion Wilson, Mariah Wilson, Thomas Mitchell Jr., Nevaeh Mitchell, Ra'Shard Mitchell. Great-great grandchildren- Ka'Myia Waddles, Samara Mathis, Hormoni Waddles. Family Thomas Rucker (Nancy) Tangee Rucker, Tamra Rucker, Thomas Rucker, Taurus Rucker, Tifney Wyatt, Ian Wyatt, Deion Smith, Celesteine Marshal, LoRhonda Organ, Dr. Zandra Rucker, Dorothy Wilson, Tana Ross. Siblings- Alphonso Douglas, Isabel Douglas, Nicey Douglas, Alfred Douglas and Jackie Douglas, A host of cousins and family member.

A public visitation will be Friday, March 3 ^rd from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 4 ^th at 2:30 P.M. at Hopewell Baptist Church, 601 W. Bond St., Denison, with Rev. C.E. Evans officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison.
