Harold Gene Thompson, passed away unexpectedly on March 26 ^th , 2021, at the age of 69.

Gene, is survived by his sons Jacob Thompson, Jeremy Thompson and Silas Birchfield, his sister Lisa Davis, and his granddaughters Leah and Lainey Thompson. He was preceded in death by his mom Thelma Hawthorne Davis, wife Patricia "Patty" Parent Thompson, his brothers Richard Davis, Steven Davis, and sister Mary Bordelon.

Gene was born, in Paris TX on December 27, 1952. A longtime resident of the Grayson county area, Gene was a hard worker, right up until his retirement. He was a loyal husband, father and grandfather. He was knowledgeable about cars and history. He enjoyed watching documentaries and attending victory life church with his granddaughters.

There will be a family night held at the Waldo funeral home on Tuesday March 30 ^th 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday March 31 ^st at 11:00 AM at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. With burial to follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend. The family would like to say thank you to all who have offered and helped during this difficult time.
