Henry Moore Crumbly, a/k/a Hank, of Denison, Texas passed away on May 30, 2025. He was 102 years old, having been born August 31, 1922 in Corsicana, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Crumbley and Evelyn Virtelle Moore Crumbley and his five siblings. While Hank never had children, he was survived by several children of his siblings. Hank and his siblings were graduates of the Masons' Orphanage and School in Fort Worth, Texas and were attending that school during the time Coach Rusty Roach took the school's football team, the Mighty Mites, to the State finals, a feat memorialize in the movie "The Twelve Mighty Orphans." After graduating, Hank served during World War I in the Air Division of the US Army. He was stationed in Texas. Years later, Hank lived and worked in Rockwall, TX. In 1991, he received a plaque from the Mayor and City Council for his service on the Rockwall Planning and Zoning Commission. Hank was gifted at wood working, which he continued to do until he lost his sight.
Hank will be missed by those who knew and cared for him during the last several years.
