IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Herman Glynn
Eubanks
July 10, 1944 – November 30, 2023
Our wonderful, loving Herman Glynn Eubanks went home to his heavenly father on November 30, 2023. Known by his family and friends as Glynn, Eubie, Herman, Poppy or PaPa, he was born on July 10, 1944, in Limestone County, TX, to Herman and Iva Lee Eubanks. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Joe & Charlene Holmes, siblings Ray Eubanks, Guy Eubanks & wife Hazel and brother-in-law Sug Campbell.
He graduated from Ennis High School in 1963 as a football and track star. He loved his classmates and kept in touch with them regularly. He retired from Oncor (TP&L, TU Electric, etc.) after 42 years of service in Waxahachie, Euless, Tyler, Nacogdoches & Denison-Northern Region. He made many friends that he considered family. Oh the stories he could tell! We reminisced many times about all the wonderful times we had and friends we made.
Glynn's presence will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Marsha Eubanks of Sherman, TX; son Rodney Eubanks and wife Jodie of Tyler, TX; son Byron Eubanks of Tyler TX, and daughter Holly King and husband Cody, of Savoy, TX; brother Dan Eubanks & wife Joy of Ennis, TX; sister Faye Campbell of Irving, TX; sister-in-law Pat Page & husband Jack of Ennis. TX, sister in law Keri Wallace and husband Mark of Stephenville, TX; dear nieces, nephews and cousins; and former wife Elaine Eubanks of Tyler, TX.
Glynn will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Dylan Eubanks and wife Faith, Macy Eubanks, Jaylie Eubanks, Clayton Slagle, Emilee Nelson, Easton King, Gage King, Wyatt King and one great-grandson Kason Eubanks. He also leaves behind his golf buddies who brought him so much joy, commaraderie and friendship.
He will live in our hearts forever and was the best husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and loyal friend. His sense of humor brightened the days of everyone who knew him. His quick wit only matched his mischievous side. He could do almost anything and if Poppy couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed. He enjoyed all sports, especially playing golf at Denison Country Club and Tanglewood until his health wouldn't permit him to enjoy it. He loved the Lord, his family and friends with all his heart. He didn't realize how many lives he impacted and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Til we meet again...
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 5, from 11:00AM – 1:00 PM at the Waldo Funeral Home.
