Mr. HD Hill Jr., age 83 a resident of Gunter, TX died Friday Dec 9, 2011 at Hilltop Haven nursing home.



He was born May 31, 1928 in Cross Plains, TX. He was the former owner of Loma Dry Cleaning in Abilene, TX. a member of the Church of Christ Faith and a U.S. Navy Veteran. H.D. lived a full life with hunting, fishing, camping and extensive traveling. He enjoyed life and embraced it to the fullest.



Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife Pansey Hill, and parents Hillard D Hill SR and Lela Pauline Roach Hill, one great grandchild Angel Simmons, and one brother- in-law Garland Scott.



He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Hillard (Dee) Hill III and wife Susan of Plano, TX; one daughter, Sandra Hill Ryan of Clyde, TX; two sisters and one brother-in-law Gerry and Kirk Frost, SR of Phoenix, AZ. and Lela Scott of Lubbock, TX; one brother and sister- in-law, Douglas I. and Theda M. Hill of Leveland, TX; several grandchildren, Jennifer and Wesley Edwards of Granbury, TX, Pat Hill of Odessa, Tx., Thomas Zimmerman of Denton, TX., Tiffany Hill and David Hill of Plano, TX., Kathryn and Michael Simmons of Merkel, TX.,; six great- grandchildren, Jessica and Jillean Edwards of Granbury, TX., Brooklyn Hill of Abilene, TX., Amanda, Michael, Korrine Simmons of Merkel, TX; and three nieces and four nephews.

Private Graveside Services for Mr. Hill will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Cedar Hill Cemetery Abilene, TX. Cremation is under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home Sherman, TX. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
