On Friday, August 14th, 2026, Isabel Montalvo Flores of Sherman Texas passed away peacefully.

Isabel was born on December 1, 1943 and was preceded in death by her parents Jose Arreola Montalvo, Bernardina De La Rosa Montalvo, and son Freddy Flores. She is survived by her husband, Julian Flores of Sherman Texas. Three sons; Julian Flores Jr., Louis Flores, and Joe Flores. Two Daughters Esmeralda Flores and Norma Ross. Eight grandsons; Louis Flores Jr., Brandon Flores, Robert Ross, Matthew Flores, Julian Ross, Joshua Flores, Dylan Flores, and Israel Guevara. Seven granddaughters; Krystal Sanchez, Ruby Sanchez, Vivian Gonzalez, Amber Ramirez, Cassandra Davis, Larissa Ardese, and Vanessa Flores. She had 23 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Isabel was a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. She married her loving husband of 66 years; Julian Flores, on July 30, 1960 in Hale Center Texas at Saint Theresa Catholic Church. They settled in Plainview Texas, where they raised their children. In Plainview, she worked as a nurses aide for Nichols Hospital as a medical assistant for both a general surgeon practice as well as an orthopedic surgeon office. In 1991, Isabel and Julian moved to Sherman where she worked as a unit clerk at Wilson and Jones Hospital. She attended Saint Mary’s Catholic Church where she was an active parishioner for many years.

As a Petersburg Buffalo, Isabel played basketball for her high school, but she was a spectator of all sports. She loved watching Luka when he played for the Dallas Mavericks, watching the Texas Rangers, March Madness, and FIFA.

A Rosary will be held from 6-6:30 p.m. with a visitation following from 6:30 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
