He was born April 25, 1949, in Deport, Texas to Jack Hoxie Nobles and Martha Wayne (Thomas) Nobles. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1967. He obtained a degree in drafting, then went to work for the City of Sherman, Engineering department where he retired.

Papa loved his family more than anything else in the world. Jackie enjoyed going to the deer camp with his family and teaching his kids and grandkids how to hunt. He also enjoyed drawing and building projects. Jackie loved to take his wife to Louisiana for some crawfish and spending money at the riverboat casinos. Probably one of his favorite things to do was to hold a baby and sing his Christopher Columbus song to them.

Jackie is also survived by several great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by his wife Brenda; parents Martha and Jack: brother Roy Eugen Giles; son, Barry Ray Watson and granddaughter, Tisha L. Miller Weeks.
