James Allen (Jim) Buchanan, age 74, passed away on June 6, 2023, in Sherman, TX.  He was born April 6, 1949, in Smithville, MO, to James and Bernie Buchanan.  He spent his childhood years growing up on a farm in Platte County, MO.

He attended grades 1st through 8th at Edgerton, MO and grades 9th through 12th at Dearborn, MO.  After graduation he worked at Kansas City Municipal Airport.  He later attended the Electronic Institute of Kansas City.  After completion from the Electronic Institute, he was hired at Texas Instruments in Sherman, TX.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bernice Buchanan, brother Jerry Buchanan and sister, Patricia Williams.

Jim leaves behind 2 daughters, Angela Reuter (John) of Huntsville, TX and Annette Collins (Jason) of Baltimore, MD; two sisters, Sandra Clarkson (Jim) of Smithville, MO and Mary Buchanan Koontz (Steve) of Houston, TX, sister-in-law, Georgetta Buchanan of Ft. Myers, FL, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
