Sherman – James A. Davidson
Memorial Services for James A. Davidson, age 66, of Denison, TX will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Fusion Bible Church in Sherman, TX.

Jim was born in Kinston, NC on March 4, 1949 to the late Elbert and Jessie (Jones) Davidson. He graduated from Manatee High School in 1967 in Bradenton, FL. On July 23, 1971 he and Sarah Davidson were married in Bradenton, FL. After 30 plus years in retail, Jim pursued his life calling as an educator when he earned his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2000. While teaching math in Mesquite ISD, he returned to TAMU-Commerce, earning his Master of Education in 2006. He then went to work for Sherman ISD as an Assistant Principal, completing his 14 years as an educator.

He was a member of Eastridge Park Christian Church in Mesquite, TX where he and his wife were deacons and elders, actively involved in the youth program, and a member of the choir. Upon moving to Sherman, he and his wife became members of Fusion Bible.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sarah (Elliott) Davidson; daughter, Michelle (Davidson) Jenkin and husband John of Forney, TX; son, Michael Davidson and wife Kristi of Belton, TX; son, Andrew Davidson and Lindsay of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Taylor and Corbin Jenkin, Sarah and Garrett Davidson, and Olivia Davidson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
