James "Jim"
Eversole
September 2, 1947 – April 18, 2026
James Edward (Jim) Eversole was born September 2, 1947, to Jim and Lorene Eversole in Hazard, Kentucky. He was called home to be with his heavenly Father on April 18, 2026. Jim lived in the small coal mining town of Blue Diamond, Kentucky. The family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, when Jim was very young. He graduated from St. Bernard High School and attended the University of Cincinnati majoring in mechanical engineering.
He met the love of his life the summer of 1966 at the A&W Root Beer restaurant where Pat was a carhop. They were married in March of 1968 and celebrated 58 amazing years together. They were blessed with two wonderful children who filled their hearts and their lives with much love and joy.
He is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Tara Eversole, son Chris Eversole and his wife Mandy, and granddaughter Jillian Grace and five grandpups that he spoiled routinely. He was a good man, great husband, incredible father and the best Papa on the planet.
When his health permitted, he loved to tinker with almost anything but had a special love for working on and restoring old cars – especially Corvettes. Jim also enjoyed many sports, hunting, motorcycles and fixing things. But his greatest passion was his family. He loved them more than anything else and was willing to sacrifice everything for them. And he did.
He will be remembered as Papa – the man, the myth, the legend. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Wounded Warrior Project.
