Obituary

James Sandridge was born Thursday, March 24, 1932 in Whitesboro, Texas to Earl and Pauline (Chambers) Sandridge and departed this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 83.

Jim grew up in Sherman and was a graduate of Sherman High School. After graduation, he attended the University of Texas at Austin for two years then came back to Austin College in Sherman, graduating with a degree in Physics. Jim married the love of his life, Rita Biggerstaff, on September 15, 1956 in Sherman. Jim began his career moving to Salt Lake City, Utah for a short time before coming back to Texas. He spent 35 years with Texas Instruments as an Engineer working in Richardson, Houston and Sherman.

After his retirement, Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved being with his family. He also had a lot of experience watching his granddaughters' dance competitions. Jim's family could attest that as much time he spent at the competitions, he could be an actual judge.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Lauren Sandridge.
