James Warren Schnitker of Sadler, passed peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday March 21st 2023. He was 67 years old.

James was born in Sherman Texas on December 21st, 1955. He is preceded in death by his mother Shirley M. Schnitker and father Earl J. Schnitker; grandparents Al & Mary Schnitker and Floyd & Ruby Nelson and several other family members and friends.

He spent most of his life growing up in Sherman and graduated from Sherman High School in 1974, where he enjoyed playing football and several other sports. He was a proud bearcat and loved rooting them on, especially when his son Josh became a Bearcat. James later attended Grayson County College and studied business. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed BBQ'ing for friends, playing softball & golfing, and was a fan of NASCAR and watching WWE. He was a third degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Denison Elks Lodge.

James worked for several factories in the Sherman and Denison area from 1976-2015; including Johns Manville, LOF and Progress Rail. In addition to those jobs he also managed Knights of Columbus Bingo in Denison Tx until the early 2000's

He was blessed with three children and four grandchildren. His daughter Jana Nobles and husband Travis of Sadler Tx, daughter Julie Talamantes and husband Rene of Sherman Tx, and son Joshua Schnitker of Oklahoma City Ok. His four pride and joy who called him PawPaw; Zavier Talamantes, Izabelle Talamantes, Sawyer Nobles and Peyton Nobles. He was so loved by many and will be missed by all dearly.

Rosary and family visitation will be held at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman on Thursday March 23, 2023 at 6:00pm. Mass services will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church Friday March 24, 2023 at 11:00 am
