Jan was born on Tuesday, May 26, 1959 in Greenville, Texas, to Bobby and Charlene Owens. She passed from this life on Friday, June 2, 2017 in Denison, Texas at the age of 58.

Jan grew up in Greenville until the sixth grade when her family moved to Sherman where she would graduate high school in 1977. She worked as the medical staff coordinator for WNJ over thirty plus years. Jan's recent employment was administrative assistant at TMC Behavioral Health Center for the past few years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Owens; and her grandparents.

Jan is survived by her mother, Charlene Owens of Sherman; brother, Scott Owens of Maui, HI, sister, Shelley Owens Kahn and husband Randy of McKinney, TX, nieces, Madelyn Kahn and Olivia Smith, and nephew, Ashton Kahn, all of McKinney.

Funeral services for Jan will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 9, in Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Steve Rice officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8, from 6 PM to 8 PM in Waldo Funeral Home.
