IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janice
Lehmann
December 6, 1946 – June 19, 2025
Janice Lehmann, 78, of Sherman, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, surrounded by family. Jan was born on December 6, 1946, in Panama City, Florida. Jan married Fred Lehmann on June 20, 1980, and were married for 43 years.
She graduated from University of North Texas with a Bachelor Science in Business Administration and a minor in Horticulture Science. After graduating from UNT, Jan was employed by Texas Employment Commission. She then went on to work in Human Resources at Quickset and then Libby-Owens Ford Glass Company. Jan had a desire to work with people and to help them. Her next endeavor was to start a Home Health Care business helping the elderly. Jan started Changing Seasons Homecare in Sherman, Texas and Heavensent Caregivers in Texas and Oklahoma, and these businesses have been serving the Texas and Oklahoma area for 30 years. Jan's inspiration for caring for the elderly came from her grandmother, who was like a mother to her. Jan loved God and received Jesus' gift. She was part of the Texoma Emmaus Community. Jan was surrounded by the love of her Emmaus sisters, and special neighbors Cindy and Gail in her last days.
Jan loved animals, gardening, creating stained glass, needlework, quilts, creating paintings, playing golf and racket ball, and anything that made her laugh.
She is survived by her children Kete (Jeff) Jackson, Peter Fowler, and Mark (Amie) Fowler; five grandchildren; her sister Brenda (Phil) LaRusso, brother and sister-in-law, Doug (Dottie) Lehmann and their two daughters, and her beloved dog, Abby. Jan was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruby Anderson, Mother, Dorothy Rogge, Sister, Linda and husband, Frederick Otto Lehmann.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 7th, at 2:00 pm at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Jan's favorite charity Meals on Wheels of Texoma.
