Janice Marie Higgins Wineinger, of Sherman, Texas passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on August 13, 1940, to Audrey Zechariah and Maggie Goldie Higgins. Janice married Robert Darrell Wineinger on April 9, 1958.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl and husband Michael Tapia, Karen and husband Stephen Braswell, Tammy and husband Phill Lane; four grandchildren, Danielle Frantz, Colin Lane and wife Taylor, Kasey and husband Isaac Proctor and Zachariah Braswell; and seven great grandchildren, Daxton Lane, Beckett Lane, Loralie Lane, Melanie Beal and Kaedyn Proctor, Wyatt Proctor and Hannah Proctor, her sisters Betty Jo Reilly of Savannah, Tennessee and Nerva Jean Killbury of Belin Heights, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Alvin Higgins, sisters Grace Clevenger, and Mary Parker.

The family will receive friends during a visitation at the home of Stephen and Karen Braswell in Howe following the graveside service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Colin Lane, Kacey Proctor, Danielle Frantz, and Zachariah Braswell.

We would like to thank all the Home Hospice nurses, social workers, aides, chaplains, administrators and volunteers who took such great care of Janice over the last few months. We couldn't have done it without you.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. at West Hill Cemetery.
