Jason Paul Gwang Rae Summer, age 41, of Farmers Branch, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025.

Jason was born on August 3rd, 1983, in Kyonggi-do, Korea, and was adopted by Craig and Helen Summer.
He attended Tom Bean High School, where he formed lasting friendships, ran track, and played football. He was also a very gifted artist, with a passion for creativity that he carried throughout his life.

After graduating in 2003, Jason moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where he worked as a security guard before transitioning into the medical billing field as a Certified Medical Coder.
Jason was a true sports enthusiast, with a deep love for watching football, MMA, action movies, and comedies. His musical taste was just as diverse, and he found joy in many genres.

As he grew older, Jason became a cherished and loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews. He was tough, resilient, and fiercely independent. Always eager to tackle challenges head-on, Jason approached life with confidence, charisma, and his own unique pace. Beneath his tough exterior, he was a kind-hearted and gentle soul, known for his distinctive laugh and his unwavering love for his family. He was always willing to speak his mind, yet he carried a warmth that made him beloved by those who knew him best.

Jason is survived by his loving sisters Zarah, Jennifer, Jessica, Leah, Rachel, Mariel, and Karalyn; his brothers Matt, Micah, and Mark; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Adam and his parents, Craig and Helen Summer.

Jason will be remembered for his humor, his creativity, and his loving heart. He was funny, feisty, artistic, athletic, and deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on March, 29th with light reception to honor his memory at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in Sherman.
