Jeffrey Wayne Hanning, age 49, of Van Alstyne, Texas went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 23, 2023. Jeffrey was born August 13, 1974, in McKinney, Texas. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors and working on family genealogy. He graduated from McKinney High School, then went on to get his bachelor's degree from North Texas University. Jeffrey also worked for many years in the printing business and then devoted his life to raising his kids.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Ethel Hanning, maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Fern Henry, and an Uncle Mike Hanning.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Hanning of Van Alstyne; daughter, Emma Hanning, son William Hanning, parents Carroll and Joy Hanning of Pottsboro, Texas, Pamela Hanning of Atlanta, Texas, sisters, Laurie Walker and husband Jesse of Queen City, Texas, Lindsey Larson and husband Carl of Sherman, Texas, brother Ryan Chandler and wife Angel of Pottsboro, Texas. And a number of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Service will be on January 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
