Jeffrey Glen Jones was born September 29, 1962 in McKinney Texas and raised in Anna Texas by his parents Carolyn and Wayne Jones. Jeff passed away on March 26, 2026.
Jeff graduated from Anna High School in 1981 and during that time was named Texas High School All State football Punter in 1980.
Jeff loved working with and spending time at his grandparents farm. He also loved going to lake, camping and watching sports. He was extremely thrilled when the Texas Rangers won the World Series in 2023. He was most happy watching his son and grandkids play sports and even did a little coaching himself.
Jeff is survived by his wife Hedy Jones, daughter Tiffany Jones of Sherman, son Nathan Jones of Anna, stepchildren Kasie Stites and husband Ryan of Pilot Point, Rusty Williams and wife Chris of Sadler, sister Lisa Jones and wife Kylene of Mesquite, brother Randle Jones and partner Efren Ramirez of Prosper. Jeff was especially proud of his grandson Jaxson Hess of Denison, and step grandsons Ryen Maness of Sherman, Brodie Williams of Whitesboro, and Bryce Morgan of Pilot Point.
Jeff always enjoyed seeing cousins, aunts and uncles and will be missed by all.
Jeff is preceded in death by his Grandparents Edna and Horace Randles and Stella Jones, mother Carolyn Jones, and father Wayne Jones.
Celebration of life for Jeff will be April 2, 2026 from 6-8 Pm at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman Tx.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of AVIR at Memorial in Denison and AVIR at Sherman. Thank you for the exceptional care, kindness, and dignity they provided Jeff during his stay. We would also like to thank Waldo Funeral Home for helping us during such a difficult time.
