Jenny Corine Gripp's Obituary

Jenny Corine Gripp (Borchert) fell asleep in death on Thursday, September 20th after a brief illness. She was 52 years old.

Born February 4, 1955 in Sibley, Minnesota, Jenny moved to St. Augustine, Florida, with her family where she met and married her ?prince charming? Christopher Albert Gripp. They were married on February 23, 1974. After living in Durango, Colorado for over a decade, she subsequently moved to Sherman, Texas in the early 1980's and began raising a family.

Beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt, Jenny will be profoundly missed. She was a wonderful, dedicated mother and wife, who filled her home with love and comfort. Jenny always thought well of everyone, and family and friends will long remember her expansive hospitality, self-sacrificing spirit, and concern for others. She was a meek, kind, considerate woman, and a ready smile was given to everyone. Her example will long live in all of us, as we remember all that she did for others.

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with the local Sherman, Texas congregation, she greatly enjoyed Bible study and sharing the Bible's wonderful hope for the future with others. She looked forward to the time when the earth would be remade again to an everlasting paradise. One of her favorite scriptures was Psalms 37:9-11 which says ?For evildoers themselves will be cut off. But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. ?

Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Chris, of Bells, Texas; son, Ryan Gripp of Bells, Texas; daughter, Erin Almonte of Santiago, Dominican Republic; brother, David Borchert of Clermont, Florida; brother, Matthew Borchert of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Terri Repoza of Worcester, Massachusetts; father, Roger Borchert of St. Augustine, Florida; mother, Leona Borchert of St. Augustine, Florida; and 13 nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 am, Saturday September 29, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Hwy 56 & 82 East, Sherman, Texas.
