Graveside services for Jerri Ross Cox, age 74, of Burleson, TX will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 27, 2012 at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, TX.
She passed away on February 23, 2012 at Community Hospice of Texas in Burleson, TX.
Jerri was born on March 14, 1937 in Vernon, TX the daughter of J.V. and Stella Marguerite Birch Purcell. She married Doyle Gene Cox on July 24, 1972 in Temple, OK. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1997. Jerri was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Searcy, AR. She enjoyed reading, baking and crocheting. Jerri made wonderful pies and cakes and made time to crochet a baby blanket for every grandchild.
She survived by two daughters, Lisa Scott and Marguerite Snyder both of Burleson, TX, one son, Ven Rainwater of Searcy, AR, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Jerri was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family will receive friends at Waldo Funeral Home on Sunday, February 26th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
