John Joseph Bruno
April 21, 1952 – July 12, 2025
John Joseph Bruno, 73, of Denison, Texas, passed away peacefully in the town he called home for his entire life. Born on April 21, 1952, in Denison to Tony Paul Bruno and Daugherty Eloise Stephens, John was the youngest of four children and the last surviving sibling of the Bruno family. He was deeply loved and doted on by his older sisters, Martha Jane Leach and Virginia Ann Manning, and his brother, Richard Paul Bruno, who all made sure their "baby brother" never went without.
John attended Grayson County College, where he began laying the foundation for a life defined by hard work and dedication. He started his career at Johnson & Johnson and later dedicated over 30 years to the City of Denison, earning the respect and friendship of many throughout the community.
John's first marriage brought him his beloved daughter, Amy LaMondue (husband Ernest), whom he often referred to as his pride and joy. He cherished her deeply. Later, John married the love of his life, Diana Faye, and together they raised her three sons: Anthony Fryar, Timothy Fryar (wife Amanda), and Michael Fryar as their own. His role as a stepfather was one he embraced wholeheartedly, and his love for them knew no bounds.
A devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, John built strong and lasting bonds with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding immense joy and pride in their lives. Whether it was fishing by the water, tinkering in his shop, or sitting on his porch watching the world go by, John found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a hand to a friend or stranger alike. His quiet kindness, warm spirit, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children:
Anthony Fryar, Timothy Fryar, Michael Fryar, and Amy LaMondue.
His grandchildren:
Joshua, Cortney, Kaylyn and Bubba Graham, Brittany and Carlos Bowen, Jordan Henry, Mikayla and Harley, Haleigh, Maia, Brayden, and Memorie.
And his great-grandchildren:
Jaidence, Foster, Jaxton, Addilyne, Tayleigh, Cheslee, Jordan, Julian, Compton, Emberleigh, Jaide, Avery, Axton, and Cairo.
The family will memorialize John at a later date, allowing loved ones to come together in remembrance and celebration of his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John's memory to Home Hospice of Grayson County or the Dementia Society of America, organizations close to the family's heart.
