Services for Joyce Louise Colbert, 77, of McKinney, will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Colbert passed away January 1, 2008 at Hearth Stone Nursing Home in Irving, Texas.

Joyce was born in Frisco, TX on February 22, 1930 to James Alexander and Sarah Ann Patterson Owen. She married Jessie Murl Colbert in 1955. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, daughters Judy Stembers and husband D. R. of Royce City, TX, and Patti Grooms and husband Daryl of Denison, TX, sons Terry Colbert of McKinney, TX and Richard Colbert and wife Nancy of LaMarque, TX, grandchildren Shannon Jones and husband Brian of Lunenburg, MA, Amy Goodrich and husband Tim of Royce City, TX, Susan Nelson of Denison, TX, Bryce Colbert, Chayse Colbert and Emory Colbert all of LaMarque, TX, great-grandchildren Collin Goodrich, Brett Goodrich, Ashley Goodrich all of Royce City, TX, Ryan Jones and Taylor Jones of Lunenburg, MA, sister Lucille Thomas of Henderson, TX, brother Jim Owen and wife Polly of Henderson, TX, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Family night will be Thursday, January 3, 2007 from 7:00 ? 8:00 pm at Waldo Funeral Home.
