Joyce Ruth Hames, 90, of Sherman, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Sherman, Texas.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. June 13, 2024, at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, with Pastor Larry Flenniken of PromiseLand Church officiating.

Joyce was born in Sherman, Texas to Roy William Hayes and Opal Pearl Hayes on September 16, 1933. She went to school at Howe ISD. She worked for Texas Instruments.

Joyce is preceded in death by parents Roy and Opal Hayes, brothers Norman Hayes, Gene Hayes, and William Hayes.

Joyce is survived by Mike Allison and his wife Myrna Allison of Sherman, Texas, Scott Allison of Sherman, Texas and Michelle Sumrall of Austin, Texas, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
