Judith Anne Perkins-Rawinsky passed away on March 27, 2024, in Princeton, Texas. She was born on April 18, 1949, in Arthurdale, West Virginia. She was a dedicated nurse for over 25 years, known for her protective, loving, and compassionate nature. During Hurricane Katrina, she selflessly cared for survivors at the hospital, earning her the title of hero by many.
Judith was a steadfast animal lover, always willing to take in any stray that crossed her path. She touched the lives of many with her caring and dedicated personality. She had a green thumb and enjoyed spending time tending the flowers, plants, and trees on her property in Pearl River Louisiana.
She is survived by her children Frances Ratcliff, Tashia Knowles, Jon Rawinsky, and Monique Rawinsky. Judith was the beloved grandmother of Jessica Carter, Jennifer Archer, Gabby Knowles, Brandon Rawinsky, Ashley Tobyansen, Patrick Ostrout, Tzabrina Rawinsky, Isaac Davenport, and Alejandro Ramirez- Rawinsky. She was also the great-grandmother of Lillian Blagburn, Austin and Andrew Gilbreath, Brandy Grinstead, Mattia Johnson, Joshua Carter, and Brianna Belcher, and the great-great-grandmother of Aden Blagburn, Paulina-Jade Estrada, Brayden, Rylee, and Penelope. Judith was a cousin of Bernie and Edson, and an aunt of Jody, Jackie, Stevie, Claudia, Sherry, Jeffrey, and Cindy.
She was preceded in death by her mother Edna, and father Perk Perkins and her brothers Jack, Gerald, Wade, and Darwin and sister Geraldine and Margaret. Judith was the loving wife of 43 years to Daniel Rawinsky and mother of Gary Rawinsky.
A family viewing will be held on Friday, April 5th, 2024, from 5pm-7pm at Waldo Funeral Home, 619 N. Travis St Sherman, TX 75090. The funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at 10 am at Trinity Lighthouse Church, 2915 Spur 503, Denison, TX 75020. Brother Raymond England will officiate. She will be put to rest at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.
