Obituary

On Sunday, August 23, 2026; Julian Ramos Flores of Sherman, Texas passed away peacefully.

Julian was born on May 22, 1939 and was preceded in death by his Father Marcelino Flores Sr., Mother Sara Ramos Flores, Wife Isabel Flores, and Son Freddy Flores. He is survived by three sons; Julian Flores Jr., Louis Flores, and Joe Flores, two daughters; Esmeralda Flores and Norma Ross. Eight grandsons; Louis Flores Jr., Brandon Flores, Robert Ross, Matthew Flores, Julian Ross, Joshua Flores, Dylan Flores, and Israel Guevara, Seven granddaughters; Krystal May Dzib, Ruby Sanchez, Vivian Gonzalez, Amber Ramirez, Cassandra Davis, Larissa Ardese, and Vanessa Flores. He had 23 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Julian was a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He married his loving wife of 66 years; Isabel Flores, on July 30, 1960 in Hale Center, Texas at Saint Theresa Catholic Church. They settled in Plainview Texas, where they raised their five children. In Plainview, he worked as a registered technician for Ford motor vehicle company. In 1991, Julian and Isabel moved to Sherman where he managed his own landscaping and general construction business. He attended Saint Mary’s Catholic Church where he was a Knight of Columbus and helped the church when needed.

Julian loved to laugh and could put a smile on everyone’s face by cracking a joke. He was a man who enjoyed working with his hands whether it was to help someone or just working in his garden. Julian loved being outdoors and going fishing with his children and grandchildren. His life was a reminder of the importance of Christ’s love for family and others.

A Rosary will be held from 6-6:30 p.m. with a visitation following from 6:30 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
