June Clark

Sherman- Funeral services for Norma June Clark will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 30 at West Hill Cemetery with Bobby Ritchie, David Pokorny, David Clendenin, Steve Ferguson, and Robert Rowland serving as pallbearers. Rev. David Murphy of the North Park Baptist Church will officiate. Mrs. Clark, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 29 at Texoma Healthcare.

June was born August 23, 1928 in Sherman to the late Ones and Leta Lee (Spears) Smith and graduated from Paris High School and Paris Junior College. On April 2, 1949 she and Bill Clark were married in Paris. Mrs. Clark worked as a secretary at Mrs. Tucker's Food for several years before going to work at Oscar Mayer in 1975 as personnel secretary. She had the distinction of being the first employee hired at Oscar Mayer in Sherman.

Mrs. Clark was a longtime, devoted member of Northpark Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School and served in the nursery and tape ministry. She also enjoyed reading, playing bridge and walking her dog.

Mrs. Clark is survived by two sons, Bret Clark of Sherman and Matt Clark and his wife Connie of Corinth; two grandsons, Randy Wideman and wife Janna of Lubbock and Chad Wideman and wife Allison of Lubbock; five great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; four nieces, Pam Waldron and husband Danny, Marsha Rezaie and husband Hashem, Kristin Keifer and husband Matt, and Kim Roberts and husband Bruce; and cousins, Dorothy and James Williams of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one nephew, Brad Clark.
