Obituary

Kathleen Coreen Craig, a loving mother, wife, and friend, left our world unexpectedly February 18th, 2023.

Kathleen was born November 10th, 1958, to Patsy Weibel and Glade Reed. She graduated from Ballinger High School and pursued her passions in special education teaching at Arlington ISD for many years. At 17, she asked Grant Craig to the Sadie Hawkins dance, and gave him his first kiss. 30 years later, they reconnected at their High School reunion, and have been together ever since. She spent 15 years being the best companion that any man could ask for.

Kathleen enjoyed attempting any and all hobbies, including playing the cello, raising chickens, bird watching, scrapbooking, researching family lineage, ancestry, and everyone's favorite- painting.

Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Kathleen's favorite days were spent at the hockey rink, cheering on her grandson Gabriel, or in Fort Worth singing, coloring, and reading books with her granddaughter Emmeline. Kathleen lived life to the fullest, and was always eager to learn, grow, and see the world.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Grant Craig; Sons William and wife Nichol Petty; James and wife Kristina Petty; Michael and wife Heather Petty; Stepchildren Nathan and wife Ashley Craig; Seth Craig; Madison and husband Zach McKinney; and Sawyer Craig; Mother Patsy Weibel; Father Glade Reed; Mother-in-LawEdith Craig; Grandchildren Gabriel Elliott, Emmeline Petty, and 2 new grandchildren on the way, Aubrey McKinney and Knighton Reed Petty.

We will miss her sense of humor, contagious laugh, giving spirit, and loving touch.

We ask for privacy in our time of grieving and will be hosting a private celebration of life as a family. There will be a separate opportunity for the community to give their condolences to Dr. Craig on March 5th, from 1:00PM-5:00PM at 310 N Bryant Ave. Sherman, TX.

We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen's honor be made to the Arco Bello Youth Orchestra via the GoFundMe page.
