Kathy Meredith, 54, left this world Saturday, December 21, 2013 to be with Jesus. She was born in Paris, Texas on December 29, 1958 to Ruth Ann Meredith. Nina was blessed to be her mom. She graduated North Lamar High School in Paris in 1977. She was self-employed for many years as a contractor. The last 23 years she was employed by the City of Sherman in Building Maintenance.
Meredith loved life, people, and animals. She never knew a stranger, human or critter. She was an avid softball player and loved after game time! Camping and fishing were her favorite hobbies. She was a grill master a true southern cook. No one made better coleslaw and fried fish. Loyal to playing the lottery she always had a winning ticket. She never turned away a stray animal that came to her doorsteps. She had a beautiful soul and great compassion for everyone. Jokes and pranks were her specialty. If you were around her very long it was guaranteed you would be laughing. Denver Broncos never had a bigger fan.
Meredith didn't have children of her own, but she was a great influence in "her kids" lives Serina Mathews and her kids, Steven and Alex, Cody Conyers and his kids Trever and Samantha, Carlie Fagan and hers Koleman, Crystal and Josh. All who knew Meredith knew "Paco" her 3lb sidekick. He was one of many critters she loved and cared for.
Survivors include her mother Ruth Ann Turner of Paris, TX; sisters Beverly Hix and Christy Hignight both of Cartwright, OK, and Brenda Baron of Los Angeles, CA; many nieces and nephews and her favorite "Monster Man" David Hix, and many many friends she called family.
We love you and miss you already Meredith!
