Kathy Lynn Rivard

March 6, 1954 – July 24, 2025

Kathy Lynn Rivard was born on March 6, 1954, in a small town in Grayson County, Texas, to John and Thelma Barber. She attended S&S schools and later pursued her education at Grayson County College, where she majored in general studies.

On October 15, 1983, Kathy married John Rivard. Together, they welcomed a daughter, Jennifer Rivard, who became the center of Kathy's world.

Kathy enjoyed a lifelong career with Goodwill Industries. In her free time, she found joy in cooking, reading, and collecting Native American keepsakes. A devoted animal lover, Kathy especially adored dogs. Her grandsons, Landon and Kaden Crenshaw, held a special place in her heart—she often called Jennifer and the boys her "shining stars" and took great pride in their accomplishments.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma Barber. She will be laid to rest on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, beside them, as was her wish.

Kathy's love, warmth, and pride in her family will be remembered always.
