Funeral Services for Kathy, age 74, of Sherman, Tx will be held at Waldo Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Kathy passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024.

She was born March 20, 1950, in Sherman, Texas, the daughter of Virgil Boyd Brisco and Lacy Lee Moon. Kathy enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, dancing (years ago-she could cut a mean rug), watching her lifetime movies, cooking and feeding everyone.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Lacy and Virgil and husband Dennis Ray Thurmond.

She is survived by her son Terry Jones and his wife Cindy and her daughter Lisa Farmer and husband James. Grandchildren Tyler Jones, Jacob Jones, Ethan Farmer, Nathan (AJ)Farmer, Bethany Farmer, Stefany Farmer and Shelby Farmer. Her great grandchildren Harper, Riley, Julian, Jett, Hudson, Quinn, Boden and Molly.

Nephew Phil Medrano and niece Rhonda Benedict held such a special place in Kathy's heart.

Pallbearers will be Billy Tyler Jones, Ethan Farmer, Nathan Farmer, Stefany Farmer, Anthony Benedict, and Mark Garland.

The family will receive friends at Waldo Funeral Home on August 7, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
