Kenneth Ray Strickland, 80, of Sherman, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Kenneth was born on March 21, 1946, and grew up in McKinney, Texas, where he resided for 76 years. He graduated from McKinney High School in 1964 and later attended business school in Dallas.

Kenneth proudly served in the Texas National Guard from December 1965 through December 1971. On December 2, 1967, he married the love of his life, Dianna Ford, beginning a beautiful marriage that spanned nearly 59 years.

During his career, Kenneth managed the Firestone Tire Store in Richardson, Texas. Following his time with Firestone, he worked for several major tire manufacturers before beginning his career with Yokohama Tire Corporation, where he spent more than 30 years. As Zone 3 Manager, he helped develop what became the largest commercial zone within Yokohama Tire. The region earned the nickname "The Danger Zone" because of its exceptional growth, success, and performance under his leadership.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm Strickland and Edna Myrle Strickland; and his sister-in-law, Julia Cain and husband C.A. Cain.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Dianna Strickland; daughters, Stephanie Marsh and husband Don Marsh, and Shannon Raitt and husband Bill Raitt; grandchildren, Morgan Johnson and husband Adrian Johnson, Bryce Buckley and fiancee Amanda Ulcak, Macey Winburn, Grace Buckley, Makenzie Winburn, Shawn Raitt, Troy Marsh, and Ryan Marsh; great-grandson, Caden Grey Johnson; sister-in-law Kay Stevens and husband Frank Stevens; and brother-in-law Butch Ford and wife Paula Ford.

Kenneth will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, his leadership, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His love, guidance, and memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
