Obituary

LaJuanna Margrett Robinson was born on August 10, 1949, in Colbert, Oklahoma to Rev. Maurice and Bennie Doris (Stone) Robinson.  She was the second child born to their union.

After graduating from Colbert High School, LaJuanna moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to live with her Uncle and Auntie, T.J. and Susie Robinson.  While there, she met the love of her life and to her a bouncing baby boy was born, Billy Romone.  She entrusted her mother to care for him while she worked, but when Billy began to call his grandmother "Moma", LaJuanna made the decision to move back to Colbert, Oklahoma.  Once she returned, she was blessed to have a beautiful daughter, Nina Samone.

While living in Colbert,  LaJuanna was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joe B. Dawson, Rev. Timouthy Robinson, and Rev. E.D. Fields.  She served as Church Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, Children's Ministry Leader, Mission President, and Choir Member.  In 2012 she moved to Dallas with her daughter and in 2016 joined with New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Darrell W. Pryor.  She served on the Mother's Board and assisted with the Children's Ministry.  She remained a faithful member until God called her from labor to reward on October 24, 2024.

LaJuanna worked in a number of different professions, but all had one common denominator - caring for others.  The care she gave reached far beyond her jobs and well into her personal life.  She helped any and everyone who needed help regardless of her current situation.  And it is that very spirit of love that she poured into her children and all the children she cared for.

LaJuanna was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Maurice and Bennie Doris Robinson; brothers, Jan Maurice Robinson, John L. Robinson, and Juan Everett Marshall Robinson; sisters, Cerecca Diana Jeffries, Ecle Estelle Love, Lorena Davis and Doris Jo Davis; niece Michelle Annette Harris and nephew Clinnon James Jeffries.

LaJuanna leaves to cherish her precious memories her son Billy Romone Robinson - Colbert, OK and daughter Nina (Bruce) Johnson - Lancaster, TX; her grandson Airon Bruce Johnson - Lancaster, TX; siblings, Rev. Timouthy Lee Robinson - Colbert, OK, Lenora Marie Davis - Tulsa, OK and Dennis Ray Davis - Colbert, OK; bonus grandchildren, Kelsey Dalton Hill-Haney, Ella McKenzie Haney and Ricky Sherman Jr., plus a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her favorite scripture:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV
