Leona Treadwell Irby of Sherman, TX passed away May 16th, 2024, at her home.

Leona was born in Coke, TX October 27th, 1940, to Austin and Mary Lee French. She attended school in Quitman and East Texas State University, where she met and then married Bobby Treadwell Sr. on May 27th, 1960.

Sherman became her home in 1965 where she resided for the remainder of her 83 years. Leona was a realtor for Sherden Realty for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Surviving are her four children, Mary Hanger, Dona Treadwell, both of Arkansas, Lana Fowler of Carrollton, TX, and Bobby Treadwell Jr. of Sherman, TX. As well as her five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 15th, 2024, in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman.
