Funeral Services for Leopoldo Vasquez, 89 years of age, of Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon will be held at Waldo Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday March 24th.

The burial will be at Panteon Municipal Valle del Sol, Sabinas Hidalgo, Neuvo Leon, Mexico. Leopoldo Vasquez passed away Friday, March 20, 2026.

Leopoldo was born on September 20, 1936, the son of Arcadio Vasquez and Petra Vasquez. He loved gardening, listening to music and loved dancing. He loved spending time with his family and very special friends. He was great at telling jokes and made so many laugh he was very charismatic. He loved all of his children; grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as all of his family and friends. He also enjoyed being told that he was a cutie by all of his sweet nurses, so much that he would give them big smiles and googly eyes. He enjoyed cook outs and definitely loved being celebrated on his birthdays.

Leopoldo is preceded in death by his wife, Elvira Vasquez, and his parents Arcadio and Petra Vasquez.

Leopoldo is survived by his sisters Hilda Salinas, and Petri Aguirre, brothers, Eudolio and wife Hermelinda Vasquez, Jose Martin Vasques, and Gustavo and wife Becky Vasquez.

He is also survived by his seven children, sons, Hector and Kayren Vasquez, Leopoldo Vasquez Jr. and Maria D. Gonalez, Alberto and Josefina Vasquez, Rodolfo Vasquez, Jose Martin Vasquez, daughter, Blanca Johnson, son Francisco and Megan Lopez.

Leopoldo is also survived by his following grandchildren, Juliana, Jocelyn, Rigo, Alberto Speed, Alberto III, Ileana, Rudy Jr., Jacey, Harold Johnson, Yazmine Lampton, Trinity Johnson, Abrum Johnson, Gabriel and Adriana Lopez, Noah Banks, Michael Banks, and many great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and family from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Waldo Funeral Home.
