Leroy Kenneth
Ingram
Feb 26, 1938 — Sep 22, 2026
Sherman, Texas
On September 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, Leroy Kenneth Ingram, 88, went home to be with the Lord.
Leroy was born on February 26, 1938, to Thomas Carroll and Jewel B. Ingram. He attended Sherman High School and graduated in 1956. It was there that he met the love of his life, Beverly Joan Crist, whom he lovingly called “BeBe.” They married on September 6, 1957, and were blessed with two wonderful sons, Terry and Steve. Together, Leroy and Beverly shared 69 loving years of marriage, building a life centered around family, faith, and love.
Leroy attended the University of Houston and spent the majority of his professional career with Foxworth-Galbraith. After retirement, he returned home to Sherman, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as “Biddy Bop.”
Leroy was a faithful member of North Park Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, cherished his Sunday school class, and loved worshiping alongside his Christian brothers and sisters. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching his kids and grandchildren play sports as well as cheering on the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. Leroy enjoyed spending time creating art and woodworking crafts especially when it was for his grandchildren. He also had a gift for writing poems and songs for and about the people he loved, leaving behind special words and memories that his family will forever treasure.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; his six siblings: Dalton, Willie, Helen, Ira, Samuel, and Joy; his brother-in-law, Jerry Corbin; and his grandson, Caleb Monk.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Ingram of Sherman; sons, Terry Ingram and wife Nan of Pottsboro and Steve Ingram and wife Julie of Pottsboro; sister-in-law, Patricia Corbin of McKinney; grandchildren, Dusty Ingram of Pottsboro, Darren Ingram and wife Erin of Sherman, Dustin Whitecotton and wife Colleen of Oklahoma City, Abigail Schilli and husband Taylor of Ponder, and Emily Monk of Pottsboro; and great-grandchildren, Audrey, Evan, Charlotte, and Noah Schilli. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leroy’s greatest legacy was the love he gave to his family, his devotion to his faith, and the countless memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered until the day we meet again.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the amazing care and compassion provided by Remarkable Home Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the North Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
