1929-2023

Lillian (Lil) (Roberts) Oribin of Sherman, Texas passed away Sunday March 12, 2023, at her daughter's home at the age of 93.

She was born June 17, 1929, to Jasper Louis and Ollie Frost in San Antonio, Texas. Lillian married Charles (Bill) M. Roberts December 15, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Sherman, Texas. They celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing on November 26,1986. Lillian married Thomas C Oribin February 3 rd , 1995, until his passing.

Lillian was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was very devoted to her family and many friends.

She worked at Grayson County State Bank as Vice President over the teller department for thirty years in Sherman, Texas. She was a member of the Auxiliary to VFW Post 2772 in Sherman, Texas for forty years.

She loved traveling and touring countries like Scotland, Germany, and Italy, but her favorite hobby was shopping for clothes and shoes.

She is survived by her loving daughters Retha (Roberts) Smith of Collinsville, Texas, and Connie (Roberts) Sonner and husband Maurice Sonner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She had five grandchildren who loved her dearly: Bill Smith and wife Brenda of Keller, Texas, Steve Smith and wife Rosy of Willis, Texas, Rick Smith and wife Randi of Van Alstyne, Texas, Kristi Kelly and husband Ray of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Heather Sonner of Paris, France.

Great-Grandchildren who called her Gran: Randi Pacheco and Dave Colvin of Melissa, Texas, Anthony Pacheco and wife Nicki of Prescott, Arizona, Jessica Smith and Karly Shockley of Las Colinas, Texas, Taylor Kelly of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Bailey Fuxa and husband Nick of Dallas, Texas, Codi Shannon and husband Kyle of Normangee, Texas, Mackenzie Compton and husband Tanner of Sherman, Texas, Madison Kelly of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Jaclyn Martin and husband Brandon of Edge, Texas.

Great-Great-Grandchildren: Ryan Bigler, Cade Brenner, Ethan Brenner, Devin Colvin, Carson Meazle, Emily Pacheco, Sarah Pacheco, Everly Compton, and Wren Compton.

Many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Melba Frost and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Bill Roberts (husband), Tom Oribin (husband), three siblings, granddaughter Terri Smith, son-in-law Jack Smith and long-time friend Jack Hansard.

The family would like to thank Absolute Angels of Pilot Point, Texas for their loving care especially Jennifer and Teresa. They would also like to thank Scott and Gena Allen for always being there.

A special love and appreciation for her grandsons and granddaughters and their spouses for always being here in time of need.

Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held 4 pm, Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Scott Allen will officiate.
